Choose a trail
Trails kept up to date, from OpenStreetMap and from hikers who add their own.

Plan a hike, or join one
Pick a date and a meeting point, or join a hike someone near you has planned.
Leg 3
Meet in the group chat
Everyone who joins is in the hike's chat, to sort out lifts and timings.
Leg 4
Walk it together
On the day, see each other on the map if you choose to, and know when you're all together.

No signal? Keep walking.
Save a trail's map before you leave. Recording carries on offline, and your walk uploads once you're back in range.
Going on your own
Follow a trail or just record, and save the walk as a new trail when you finish.
Share the day
Post about a walk you've finished, with your photos, and see where other hikers have been.
Safety
Someone at home can follow along.
Send one link to someone you trust. They see where you are and the route you planned, in their browser, without the app. The link shows only you, and it stops working 48 hours after the hike starts, or as soon as you close it.

Questions
When does Walksy launch?
Soon. Join the waitlist and we'll email you on the day.
Does the person following me need the app?
No. The link opens in any browser, and it shows only you.
Who can see where I am?
Only people you choose, and only during a hike: the others on a group hike, if you say yes, and anyone with your follow link until it expires.
Can I hike alone with Walksy?
Yes. Follow a trail or just record your walk. You can still send a follow link to someone at home.
Where do the trails come from?
From OpenStreetMap, the map built by volunteers, and from hikers who save their own walks as trails.
How do I leave the waitlist?
Write to [email protected] and we'll delete your address.
